Quaterly Project Party : 21
I saw "21" the newly released film with my office mates at on Tuesday, the occasion: Quarterly Project Party (QPP). It was new because this is India, it generally takes a while for them to come here. Personally, when it comes to occasions like these (QPP), it doesn't really matter how good or bad the film really is. You're out there with your colleagues looking at a fun evening out - getting away from that damn cubicle, desk and the TFT monitor one keeps staring into all day long.

21 is a decent film, nothing out of this world and nothing I'v never seen before as far as how the story unfolds but it's perfect for a QPP. It's inspired by Ben Mezrich's book "Bringing Down The House", a true story based on six MIT students who as part of the beat casinos in Las Vegas using techniques in the highly popular game of Blackjack. Notable stars in the film include , , and . If I was forced to rate the film I'd probably give it a 3 on 5.
I have to admit, the film ended up making me inquisitive about . Although I've never really had a first hand experience of BJ, I did see my sister play it when she took me to Atlantic City, NJ in 2007. Mini Las Vegas as they call it. To be honest, I found the whole experience a little intimidating. It's a totaly different world out there in the casinos. are pretty straight forward although they might take some while getting used to. If the film's motive (which it isn't) was to get people to take up the game of blackjack, it's done the trick in my case. Now I just need some people to join in. I reckon it might turn out to be fun.
