The folks at bodog Poker and casino have captured a list of the 10 most hated poker plyers at this 2009 World Series of Poker taking place in Las Vegas. Im sure some of these would also be on your lists!!!
1. Phil Hellmuth Jr. is easily the most hated player at any tournament in which he plays. At last year’s WSOP his behavior was so bad that they created tougher behavior rules to stop him from berating players every time he loses a hand. The Poker Brat is the king of bad behavior and poor taste.

2. Tony “G” Guoga is one of the worst behaved players on the professional circuit. His aggressive play and condescending manner have made him one of the rudest players you’ll ever see. Supposedly he is an easygoing guy off the tables, if you get to know him.

3. Mike “The Mouth” Matusow has been unpopular for a long time. His stories of going broke over and over, plus his rude behavior on the tables, makes him the third choice on the hated list. Mike has only started to gain some respect over the last year or so.

4. Sean Sheikhan is another guy that has no respect for anything. Besides having memorable verbal battles with Mike Matusow, Sheikhan once taunted Doyle Brunson in a heads-up match after winning a big hand against the legend. If you respect anything as a poker player, it should be Doyle Brunson.

5. Carlo Mortensen is not a bad guy like some on this list, but his annoying behavior can get under the skin of just about anyone he’s sitting across from. Carlos brings his little shark toys to life when he wins a hand and gets on everyone’s nerves at the same time.

6. Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott is also known for being a poor loser when things don’t go his way. He likes to berate novice players when they make a bad move. He’s condescending in general as he plays, and likes to think that he knows the game better than anyone else.

7. Todd Brunson can be heard complaining about something just about every time he opens his mouth, and is yet to crack a smile on television. This guy drags misery around with him wherever he goes.

8. Johnny Chan is one of the best poker players in the world, but no one knows that better than Johnny Chan does. His arrogance is obvious, and getting a picture or autograph from him is like pulling teeth.

9. Hevad Khan is still one of the most hated players after his display in the 2007 WSOP main event. The WSOP even created a new rule called the “Hevad Khan Rule” which prevented players from displaying over-the-top celebrations after winning a hand.

10. Annie Duke rounds out the list as the most hated female poker player. Despite her tireless charitable efforts, Annie’s personality makes her a difficult person for many people to like. She gets the most press among female players, but is nowhere near the best of all the women.
